HARRIMAN, Tenn. | Roane State Foundation representatives recently celebrated student achievement and community generosity during local high school senior awards events.
During these special events, more than 100 seniors from over two dozen schools were recognized for earning a Foundation Merit Award for academic excellence – awards made possible through the generosity of many Roane State Foundation donors.
Together, the awards totaled more than $123,000 in scholarship funds for students planning to enroll at Roane State this fall.
The Foundation’s Merit Awards are presented to students who have demonstrated outstanding excellence in academics, leadership, the arts, or athletics and who have maintained a minimum 3.5 grade point average.
“The dedication these students have shown in their schools and communities is truly inspiring,” Roane State Foundation Director of Student Programs Pamela Rudnitzki said. “We are incredibly grateful to our donors who make these awards possible, allowing us to support the brightest local talent as they take the next step in their educational journeys.”
