THURSDAY WEATHER: ☀️ A nice July day is on tap. We will see clouds early giving way to sunny skies, and temperatures will only top out around 81 degrees with lower humidity than we usually see on summer days. Winds will be light and out of the northeast. Nice weather will continue tomorrow, with similar temperatures and slightly more cloud cover.
THE WEEKEND: There’s a 50% chance of thunderstorms Saturday. Then we’ll see the summer heat return Sunday, with temperatures reaching about 86 degrees.
FURTHER OUT: Next week will be very typically summer, with slight chances of daily thunderstorms and warm, humid conditions that top out in the mid to upper 80s each day. The next several weeks look very typical for this time of year.
RIVER CONDITIONS: Above-average streamflows continue. The Big South Fork River is flowing around 500 cubic feet per second (cfs), and Clear Fork is flowing just under 150 cfs. Water clarity is good. Water temperatures are approaching 80 degrees during the peak of afternoon heating. Streamflows will return to near average for this time of year by the time we get into the weekend.
