WEDNESDAY WEATHER: 🌦️ There’s a 50/50 chance of more thunderstorms today. A Flood Watch is in effect until 8 p.m. this evening, due to the potential for additional heavy rainfall with any thunderstorm that occurs. However, coverage of the storms won’t be as widespread today as it was overnight. Rain chances will quickly diminish after sunset.

Tomorrow will be an absolutely beautiful day for this time of year: sunny skies, drier air (less humidity), and a high temperature of only about 80°.

THE WEEKEND: We’ll see rain chances return Friday night and Saturday, as temperatures and humidity rebound to about what is normal for this time of year. Sunday will be hotter but perhaps drier.

NEXT WEEK: We’ll push back to near 90° by Monday, as a heat wave that will initially be centered over the Rockies gradually spreads. Our longer-range weather outlook continues to appear very typical for this time of year through the first half of August.

Polls will be open for early voting today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scott County Office Building and the Oneida Municipal Services Building. The Huntsville Municipal Pool will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. ($3) and the Oneida City Park Splashpad will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting. The Scott County Senior Citizens Center in Oneida will serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. ($8). Alcoholics Anonymous will meet at 12 p.m. today at the Highway 27 Unity Club in Oneida.
